Shop policies
A lot of the silks I offer are antique salesmans samples and were made over the last 150 years in my familys silk factory in St. Etienne.
All of the items I sell are vintage or antique. They have been used and loved in a former lifetime and, in most instances, will bear the hallmarks of previous usage. I believe that these integral and inevitable signs of wear and tear are what give vintage items their distinctive character and charm. However, if you prefer items that are new and pristine in appearance, my wares may not be for you!
Minor blemishes which are commensurate with age and prior usage - and which are not immediately noticeable - will not necessarily be referred to within the item description. However, more significant defects (such as noticeable stains or repairs) will always be mentioned so please read the description carefully before you purchase. I am always happy to supply further information should you require it.

I prefer payment via Paypal but do remember that you don't necessarily need a paypal account to send payment via Paypal, a credit card or debit card will suffice.

Shipping
For items less than 3cm in depth, I ship via 'International Recommendé' which is registered mail.
For items larger than 3cm, they will shipped via Colissimo.
I have chosen to include tracking and insurance in the cost as sometimes orders go astray and this means less stress for you and I.
Packages will be posted within 3-5 days of receipt of payment (unless otherwise stated).
Please note: All packages sent outside of the European Union may be subject to custom duty and this is the responsibility of the buyer to cover these costs should they arise.
Delays:
We SHIP WORLDWIDE (shipping within Europe usually takes 3-5 days, outside Europe takes a little longer). We also offer discounts for combined shipping - please just drop me a line and I can combine shipping on your listing.
Shipping costs are usually estimated at time of listing (particularly for combined shipping) but please rest assured that any significant overcharge (after allowing a small amount for packaging costs) will be refunded.

Information about my customers is important to my business. I share your personal information for very limited reasons and in limited circumstances, as follows:

Transfers of Personal Information Outside the EU:
I may store and process your information through third-party hosting services in the US and other jurisdictions. As a result, I may transfer your personal information to a jurisdiction with different data protection and government surveillance laws than your jurisdiction. If I am deemed to transfer information about you outside of the EU, I rely on Privacy Shield as the legal basis for the transfer, as Google Cloud is Privacy Shield certified.
Your Rights:

Access. You may have the right to access and receive a copy of the personal information I hold about you by contacting me using the contact information below.
Change, restrict, delete. You may also have rights to change, restrict my use of, or delete your personal information. Absent exceptional circumstances (like where I am required to store data for legal reasons) I will generally delete your personal information upon request.
Object. You can object to (i) my processing of some of your information based on my legitimate interests and (ii) receiving marketing messages from me after providing your express consent to receive them. In such cases, I will delete your personal information unless I have compelling and legitimate grounds to continue using that information or if it is needed for legal reasons.
Complain. If you reside in the EU and wish to raise a concern about my use of your information (and without prejudice to any other rights you may have), you have the right to do so with your local data protection authority.
